Hello,
I just purchased a Zorki 3m/ J-8 via Ebay. The camera and lens work, but controls seem tight and the camera overall seems dirty/corroded.
Rather than subject the camera/lens to another transatlantic journey, I wanted to know if there is a reputable US based FSU repair shop that can handle a CLA.
Thanks,
Ross

There are people who can do it but it probably will cost a lot more than what you paid for the camera. Best person to handle it is Oleg

If you send it there my advice would be to have him replace the curtains at the same time.
I takes some time with shipping but he does great work. (I am in no way affiliated with Oleg except for having a FED there for curtain replacement).

There's a guy in Austin, TX who emigrated from Romania over 20 years ago. He has camera repair shop called Eurotech Camera Service. I think he does primarily a walk-in service. He doesn't advertise an e-mail address. He has replaced a Zorki-1 shutter for me very successfully and has very reasonable prices ($100 for the shutter and a CLA). He told me that in Romania he serviced a lot of Soviet cameras.
His name is Sorin Marcu and his phone number is (512) 479-5090.
