Guys,

Has anyone had experience with Leica Macro Adapter M especially on Leica M9 with Noctilux 50/1.0? Or Leica Macro Adapter M with any other lenses?
From time to time I shoot flowers with Noctilux, but sometimes focusing distance is not enough to shoot more closely with this gorgeous lens.
1) What will be the potential issues with using this adapter with this above combo? I had seen some remarks, that I had to stop down the aperture for better results. Does it mean, that this macro adapter can be less useful when shooting at f/1.0-1.4?
2) I have seen two types of macro adapters: a) #14652 for Elmar macro lens and b) #14409 with goggles. Which one is better for this combo? Do the goggles help at all?

Many thanks in advance.

regards,
Alexander

I use the vintage Visoflex III for close-ups on my M9. It's not exactly the lightest or most streamlined approach, but it works.

I have the Leica Oufro which allows me to use any M mount lens at closer focusing distances.

Here's a couple of pics I took the day I got it to test it out. 'Put a 50mm Summicron ver. 4 on M240 and went out into the garden. I was very happy with the results. These are hand held. But I don't know how you'd focus it on an M9. I used live view on the M240.
