I don't know. Of course there is always the hardship school of photographers that say that there is nothing you can't do with a Leica II (or Zorki-1 for that matter). But then again, convenience isn't a bad thing that somehow makes photography worse, but an added value that makes it easier to concentrate on what picture taking is all about.
For me, I think the Bessa has moved me forward in comparison to the FSU cameras I was using before, mainly because it became much more convenient to take pictures, because I could just take the camera with me and have everything I need, and because I didn't need to bother with extra accessories such as light meters and external finders. And the great Bessa viewfinder allowed me for the first time to frame pictures while taking the environment outside the frame into consideration. So I think it is worth it, even though it's a lot of money.
I would say just take the time and save a little money. Put $10 on the side every now and then and wait for an occasion, and eventually there will be someone here or somewhere else who offers the right thing at the right moment. After all, rangefinder photography is all about decisive moments, and this applies to camera purchases just as well as to picture taking.
(And please do forward me that link to the site of yours, I'd at least like to have a look at it.)
