Used Bessa R?

I can't help with your fund collection, but I can certainly encourage you in your quest. I recrently sold my Leica CL (a real user - cosmetically rough & the meter inop) and it's 50/2 collapsible Summicron. A big chunk of that went to finance a nearly new, in box, black Bessa R. I actually just got it today and am thrilled with it. I've got my Canon 50/1.8 mounted, my Gordy Wrist Strap on it & a roll of Fuji Supermarket 400 in it... :D What more could a RF geek want???

For my purposes & situation, yes. It was a user and I had missed shots due to the meter being inop & so on. I didn't want to spend the money to rebuild it that could go into a new/nearly new camera instead. It had it's pluses and I'm glad to have owned it, but it was time for something newer.

I have a Bessa R for sale

I have a Bessa R for sale

I have a Bessa R in pristine condition, ran maybe 3 rolls of film through it. It is my second body so it doesn't see any use. It is still in the original box, and comes with a wrist strap as well as the original one. I would like to get $200 US for it. I also have a 35/2.5 Color-Skopar (the original LTM one) as well as 50/1.5 Nokton. Both lenses are LNIB and do come with original boxes. Let me know if you are interested. I need to get a pocket digicam to take with me on my motorcycle trips.

You can PM me or email directly for pictures (dtopalovic at gmail dot com). I will put this whole set up for sale in the classifieds section as soon as I figure out how much to ask for the lenses.

Cheers,

Doug.

You will like the Canon 50/1.8. I bought one recently from Frank S. and it hasn't been off my Bessa R since. I also have the cv 35/2.5 which is a wonderful, all-round lens.

The kit I bought about a year ago from a fellow rff member consisted of the Bessa R, side grip, CV 35/2.5, Voigtlander strap, for about $400. However it was all LNIB.

Michael, the Bessa R2 is M-mount, and comes with Canon 50/1.8. Yes?
If it checks out OK, go for it.

Ted, what does a Canon 50/1.8, m39 screw mount...
what does it go for these days, and where's a good place to find one?
Ciao, mike

I got mine from Frank S. $150 shipped. It is M39 and works fine on the Bessa R.
