Used camera market in the UK and the rest of the EU

Last year brought me both involuntary [1] and voluntary [2] un-acquiring of camera gear, but I have been determined to get a new digital rangefinder since I involuntarily lost my M8 last May. To this end, I have kept an eye on the London and RFF used market for almost a year. Plenty of good offers pop up on the other side of the pond, but I fully expect Her Majesty’s Revenue and Customs to leave me a hefty bill if I purchase anything from North America. RFF is the only trustworthy site that I know of for rangefinder gear, but does anyone know of alternatives in the UK and/or EU (while the latter lasts)? Preferably person-to-person trades, but good commercial ones are more than welcome as well.

I have pretty much settled on a Typ 240 at this point since I found the ISO on the M8 to be limiting. In the interest in giving something back, here are some price points (maybe all on RFF) for Typ 240s since last summer; perhaps it is useful for someone.

i've seen some 240s on mpb as low as £2500 the cheapest at the moment is £2689 but they are easy to deal with and very easy returns in my experience.
Harrison cameras have one at £2500 also at the moment.

What ever you do think twice before buying anything from 'Rocky Cameras'. I bought 3 cameras and a light meter in the 'new year sale' and got nothing like the cameras I paid for - not even the same models. The deal wasn't in your price range but - just in case. This dealer gets some very bad reviews on APUG also.
