I'm presently in HK, and looking for a shop that might have older Leica/RF gear. Anyone want to save me some footwork and recommend a good place?

Hmmm...Breguet has a big collection, as well as Fotopia in Tim Sha Tsui. These are also more reasonably priced...

Don't go to any of the shops on Causeway bay unless you are prepared to bargain hard - they're used to rich tourist
P.S. Not affiliated with any of them.

One of the shops that I'll check

In the same building, there shall be a few more shops. Don't be fooled by the outlook of the building. Worth spending an hour or two in there.

I second this. Great place with lots of vintage stuff. Quick turnover, though, which is why I personally prefer the bigger stores...You see something you want and it's already gone

Also try Tin Cheung used cameras in Tsim Tsa Tsui. Plenty of Leica and other RFs there.

I have visited HK a couple of times in recent years. Two or three ideas.
1) The Kowloon Shangri La hotel in Tsim Sha Tsui East (60 Mody Road) is opposite a little shopping arcade called Mirror Tower. Inside the arcade there is a camera store with quite a few film cameras - Leica, Nikon etc. I did not shop there so cannot vouch for them but they did clearly have older cameras on sale. While you are on Mody Road there is another camera store near Nathan Road just opposite The Holiday Inn Golden Mile. I cant recall its name but its obvious from the street being on ground level and is quite famous and I believe reliable although I cannot speak from personal experience. They specialize in Leica. (probably tim cheung).
2) I had a lot of fun shopping in Sim City in Shantung Street Mongkok just off Nathan Rd. This building is full of small independent stores selling camera gear (some Leica) and misc electronic gear. Great fun - its where the locals tend to shop. Bargaining is the order of the day. - Three floors of camera geeky goodness whihc is why I loved it.
Most people in the know avoid the dudes flogging cameras in stores along Nathan Road around Tsim Sha Tsui - many are rip off merchants who will try to cheat you - bait and switch is their favourite trick. If youa re tempted to buy from one of these hand over no cash till you have the item safely in your hands. Even then you are likely to be ripped off as they will often not give you essentials like battery charger that they will then try to flog to you at vastly inflated prices. Best to avoid them altogether. Occasionaly a store such as these has second hand gear but usually they sell new.
Apart from the above annoyance HK is a fun place to shop.
PS I bought some Nikon gear (new) from a little camera store with a big Canon sign out front beside a Bonluxe store on the corner of Hankow Road and Ichang Street (on the western side of Nathan Road in TST off Haiphong Road). I found them reliable. I had to bargain hard. The deal was OK but not outstanding but they at least did not try to rip me off. I would deal with them again. They had a little second hand gear I think.

Holy moly, guys. Those all look amazing. I just looked around Fotopia, which was super nice. I also checked out Tin Cheung, and they didn't have anything very interesting.

Oh the place I thought was Tin Cheung didn't look like that! Haha, must have missed it. Definitely a few shops in the area with vastly inflated prices. 1918 HKD for a 15mm Voightlander viewfinder, uh no. Gonna have to make another trip!

Tin Cheung is a reputable camera store in Hongkong, they have 2 stores there one is for brand new and another for used. They also have a selection of bags Artist and Artisan, Domke, etc. in the new cam store.

In Tsim Tsa Tsui near Nathan Road there are some good not rip-off camera stores; Tin Cheung, David's Photo and All Good Friends. The last 2 are in the same building but I forgot the name of the building it's near Carnevorn Road.

The amount of awesomeness is almost too much to fathom. Fotopia alone was better than almost any store I've seen in Canada - ever.

There is also 9days. I picked up a lens from them last year and they were great to deal with.

Went to both Tin Cheung locations - absolutely blown away. Found the 15mm cv viewfinder I wanted for 150 CDN instead of 170 at home, or 250 (!) on Nathan road. Also went into Champagne Court and was again blown away. Found (finally!) a rubber eyepiece ring for my M2 for about 12 CDN, which I had just about given-up trying to find. Super good day.

Tsim Sha Tsui mansion has Shogun Camera and Matsuya camera, both stores have real friendly staff and great deals. I bought a BNIB ricoh R1 from Shogun for $400HKD or about $60USD. You mentioned Champagne court... All Good Friend camera is great, real nice people... I just saw the store owner do his wedding shoot with his wife in the store last Sunday too
As RayT offered, I'm in Hong Kong until Dec26, I work 9-7 on weekdays (more like 9-8... overtime) but wouldn't mind hanging out for a bit after, or during weekends.
Fellow Canadian RFFers in HK, eh?

The tin cheung stores are not recommended.
Unless you know leica like back of your hand.
once they sell a demo m7 as brand new to customer that pay full price.
