Just curious - what action has everyone chosen for their user defined button.
Thus far, I've left mine on 'delete.' When I first saw one button was available, I wanted to use it to select Color or B&W, but that was not one of the options available.
So, have you redefined your user button, and if so, why do you find your selection more helpful than the default?
Thanks in advance.

Zoom-in/magnify on the preview mode to check sharpness -- i use the 15mm non-rangefinder coupled heliar at close distances a lot.
For me, using 1gb cards and shooting jpegs frees me up from deleting so often. Those who shoot raw may need the delete function to be more readily accessible.

Where'd my Bessa go?
Zoom on mine... a chimping habit lugged over from my DSLR. Been trying to shoot with the LCD stowed but I keep suffering from chimping withdrawl and out it comes again after a couple of frames.

why? I guess an extra button to get into delete doesn't bother me - I prefer to delete when not in a rush. Whereas, if I'm working with a model, I might want to check focus quickly...
cheers

Main reason was that the normal method to access zoom requires you need to press a button, jog the rewind knob, then press another button.
Delete only requires two button presses.
So I get the maximum improvement by assigning the user-defined button to zoom.
Also, I rarely use Delete... I'd rather keep the shots until later.. you never know what gem might be hidden in that otherwise aweful looking shot
To be honest, I don't use the zoom too often because I'm usually shooting RAW (and you can't zoom much in RAW mode) except when I'm worried about the focus and then I'll do some test shots in .JPG and zoom in to see if focus was accurate.
None-the-less, zoom is nice when I need it.
Cheers,
Phil

Reconnected.
I flip flop between delete and zoom in. realistically it is more efficient to have it on Zoom. as pfogle had said. sometimes that millisecond can cost you a shot.
i find both functions to be usefull though
