Keith traded me his pristine FE 55/1.8 for a nearly pristine ZM 35/2.8. I'm very happy with the trade.

Jay is honest, persistent, and conscientious. I just bought a Voigtlander 28/1.9 from him and I'm very pleased. Didn't send mailing address when I made payment, and he made repeated attempts to get in touch with me while I was busy at work the day before Thanksgiving. Once I was free and sent him my address, after business hours on east coast, he still managed to get to the post office that day and I received the lens today, three days later, by USPS priority mail from the west coast! I think it's in better shape than described in his ad, and I'm grateful to him for being so concerned about getting it to me so quickly. He was much more worried about it than I was!

Thank you Jay.

We agreed to trade ZM Biogons. It was a happy trade for me for I was seeking a 35/2--but I mistyped address info in my outgoing mail label and caused unnecessary delay in redsky receiving his 28! This is my public/rff mea culpa, though he was kind and understanding. I very warmly endorse Diueine for any other RFF transactions.

I bought 10 rolls of Arista LP 100 from Mike, and even though he offered them for far less than we knew I'd pay for Fuji branded Acros, he added a roll of Provia to lessen the blow of Canada->US shipping. (Which was a very soft blow btw). I'm glad he has his A7 after this recent gear/film sale.

Negative, nightmare experience

This guy starts by haggling the hell out of me for my $700 Epson R-D1
I send him a new set of higher resolution photos of every surface of the camera, literally every part of the camera. He's like, alright.

Before I ship it, he asks me to include the SD card and the Nikon Magnifier I use with the camera for free (This stuff costs like $60). He's already haggled me down $100, I say no.

He also asks me to reduce the value of the package, which I say I would rather not, if the package gets bumped there could be issues such as finder alignment or severe damage. I tell him it's better to just leave the value real and pay a few dollars extra when it comes through. He insists - no, set the value to $200.

He starts emailing before his paypal money has gotten to my bank account - twice - did you ship it yet? Luckily I had shipped without receiving confirmation of receipt of funds..

The complains start coming moments later, the LCD apparently has dead pixels, flickering screen, horrendous scratches, finder alignment off, etc etc etc.

I go back and look at my photos of the camera, a camera which has been my main camera for the better part of 7 years and I have used every single day.. The v alignment was fine in the photo I put in the ad, the LCD had no dead pixels in a photo I took with the screen on - able to see virtually every single pixel. Cleaning marks on the LCD, hmm yeah there are some, but isn't that kind of thing covered when you say "user condition"? Doesn't someone assume they won't be getting a piece of mint gear in that case? No gouges/scratches in the screen though.

Anyway, this guy has made a total nightmare of the sale. I think a paypal claim is probably not far off. This is real nice as the sale of the camera was to pay for urgent medical issues.

I will not sell to singapore again, that is for sure.

The "failing pixels" and flickering on the LCD turned out to be the blown highlights function, after he sent me a video of it. I just about died. Yeesh.

Just received an IR filter from Al, to whom I probably owe more positive feedback for good transactions in the past. Warmly recommended.

Purchased a 50mm f3.5 Elmar M from Sug. Lens was pristine and packed to survive a soccer match. Was a pleasure dealing with Sug, and I appreciate his support of RFF members up north of the border. Highly recommend!
