Peter sold me a lens for an awesome, I still can't believe it price. What he paid for it he said. I might drive through Indiana and stop at every camera shop.

I bought a really cute fuji tiara from Fred. He even included a couple of cr2 batteries which was super cool. Thanks Fred!

I bought two negative carriers from him and they arrived very quickly and look great. Good e-mails and another great RFF'er.

Bought a little Canolite D - great shipping, nice price and piece!

User: Lemures-Ex

Got a Contaflex Super in very nice shape for very little money. Dude - I spent a good... 4 hours? taking the top off and cleaning the mirror box. Well, not really. 20 minutes to do that, 3 and a half to put it back together. It's perfect now.

I really hate to post bad things about people, but this 'sale' angered me. He had two 35RC's for sale, blind pricing. I offered him an amount, he countered with his price basically. I agreed to it, but did not paypal him immediately. Later he sent me a PM asking me to paypal him before 9PM PST. I did so at 6:58pm, and sent him a PM. He then told me that he sold the second one already, and would have to sell his 3rd! I was wondering why I hadn't received it yet, checked my paypal and found that he refunded me claiming the meter was broken (paypal did not notify me). I should have gotten the 2nd camera, and now I've got zero.

COMMENT: I had this mint EES-2 with stuck blades. Avi, who collects Oly Pn cameras, offered to repair the camera and did for free! I just got it back, this baby sings :D - thank you Avi! I will keep an eye out for the Pens still missing from your collection.

Comment: Got good advice AND and XA from Barrett at a bargain price. Knowing I wanted to take the XA with me on an upcoming weekend trip, Barrett put a new roll of film in the package, just in case it was a "grab the camera and go" situation - a nice surprise!

All of these pertain to the emergency "fire sale" I had.

User: traut H.T. broke speed records getting me paid for the Nikon 35Ti and
Contax T2 he got from me.

User: bcs89 Scott was kind enough to offer a loving home to my Olympus RD.
It must like the cold because it hasn't shown up on my doorstep.

User: bobomoon Young-Ki got my Fuji DL Mini, and my only hope is that he thinks
it's as cool as I think it is.

User: ikgroup Leo, I'm sorry if I got that wrong, and I hope the Retina has not let
you down.

User: gc1 Glenn and I had an unusual but I think mutually beneficial transaction,
and I still enjoy telling people I have a friend in Singapore.

User: gregarp Pete snagged a total of three lenses from me, which gives some credence to the notion I have too much stuff.

A common factor in all of these was the large degree of communication and trust involved and nearly everyone expressed concerns about "taking advantage" of me
being in a spot where I needed to raise some cash. To all: You didn't, not even
close. You helped me out of a situation which caught me unprepared. That's the
sort of thing that Friends do.

I bought a 12585 lens hood from him. Good and rapid communication, the hood arrived in perfect shape and exactly as described. A smooth and pleasant exchange.

Comment: Joe sold me his Canon Serenar 28/3.5, and it arrived super fast from Canada and in great condition, just as described. He had warned about a slight imperfection in the finder, but even forewarned I found it no problem at all. Thanks.

It does not get any better than this. Absolutely beautiful Nikon SP with the viewfinder just "perfect" after his cleaning of it.

Great communications. The best packed camera I've seen.

Lemures-Ex / Jared, sent a nice old folder and shape was just fine. He gave me a HU before I bought on a couple of things. I have a small tune up and I'm good to go! thanks Jared

Was great to deal with, fun communication! Hope you are using that flash! Great guy to deal with.

Chris,
I'm using it! I brought the camera to a restaurant for our anniversary just this past weekend. Both camera and flash had a great meal. The camera confounded the sommelier when he offered to take my girl's and my picture, however! I think he worked it out though. :)

I sent my brother's Canonet QL19 GIII to Dave because the slow speeds were WAY off. He worked his magic on the camera and in a very short time and for a very reasonable price the camera is back in my brother's hands. Dave's the best!
