FrankS,
My own experiene with shipping a Yashica GSN from the US to Canada was 14 days in a recent RFF transaction in May. This was via Global Priority Mail. I was very surpised by the very long shipping time. My buyer in Canada was patient and was very satisfied upon receipt of his GSN.
So in your situation I am not surprised at the current delay in shipping. Perhaps the item is lost, or perhaps waiting a week or more is the prudent thing for your buyer to do. Good luck in your situation.

He has not been an open, RFF member for long but I just completed a deal with him involving a good bit of cash. He did exactly what he said he would do and promptly, at that. I'd recommend him as honest to anyone who has future dealings with him.

A big 2 thumbs up for the cross border dealings with Butch. The package was well wrapped and arrived via Canada Post via US Postal. The box was intact and well handled. Also thanks go out to Franks who was the middle man in the deal. Nice guys to do deals with.

Bought a Summarit from MCTuomey . A great experience. Good communication and when the lens arrived it turned out to be far better than described and as bonus it had a lens-hood and - real surprise- an original boxed yellow filter, which I think is pretty rare. Thanks, Mike!

Received his Yashica GSN today in wonderful condition. Very friendly, informative and a man of his word.
BTW, what's the issue with delivery times between US/Canada? Delivery time Australia -> Germany is 2 weeks

Received a Hexar RF leather case and a used Leica shoulder bag today from Trout, both arrived smelling horribly like mildew. The smell was persistent and so strong I had to pack them back into the box to stop it from spreading throughout my office.
Tried to return both items and was informed no returns or exchanges. Very disappointed to encounter a dishonest seller on RFF, never happened before.
Thanks to advice from two other members, will try saddle soap and other leather treatment, hope not to ruin the Hexar case entirely. In the worst case I’ve lost $225 but what’s worse is how disappointing the whole experience has been.

Comment: he gave me an excellent deal on an Elmarit-M 135mm lens.. the item was exactly as promised and was shipped probably even before I paid for it.. he also offered a full refund if I wasn't satisfied, and checked back several times to be sure I was happy.. he's a great guy to do business with

A joy to deal with.

This maybe "gilding the Lily" but Thomas is super to deal with. Just purchased an M6 ttl from him at a good price, accurately described, well packed, and promptly shipped. He's worthy of your trust.

Thanks Butch (Robert), appreciate your kind words

Even under the modest terms, Robert is a true prince to work with. This is our second big transaction. First time, a big trade. This time, my M6 TTL is going to a great home, keeping it in the RFF community. I would recommend him unreservedly.
More importantly, great trading partner aside, he has always been the voice of reason and camaraderie on RFF. That is highly appreciated and certainly worthy of emulation

Due to a miscommunication my 1/2 case was a week late getting to me so Luigi threw in a free neck strap and a free wrist strap! What a great guy.
User Hoot:
Sold me a user M4P in better then described condition for a fair price.
User Tony Rose:
Bought a new elmar from Tony. I called him on a Sunday morning and talked lenses for a while. Real friendly guy.

User: David Murphy. Just got a book I bought from him. As described and shipped quick. Happy to deal with again.
The only down side: the book is Douglas St Denny's book about Chinese cameras and I can feel the early symptoms of Chinese GAS already.

What can I say, my mother always told me as a young boy to beware of back alleys coming home from school, but she was wrong
Joe and I traded his Hexar AF for my CV 28/1.9 and he was a total pleasure to work with. Shipped fast, great communications, easy to work with. I highly recommended him, and would deal with him anytime anyplace. A+

COMPLAINT: I asked him to piggyback a lens cap onto an order with KEH in order to cut down the cost of shipping (the shipping charge would have been 4X the cost of the lens cap). Ralph placed the order and sent out the lens cap within a day of receiving it from KEH. But he never responded to my attempts to pay him! Not for the lens cap or shipping. So don't ever do business with him or he'll screw himself over. geez

I agree, this sort of unfortunate altruistic behavior can only result in making the world a better place, and who wants that?
