I purchased a lens from kevin about a month ago that he described as mint, I payed what I think is probably more than the going rate. when I received the lens it was flawless in every way exept........there were what looked to be like very tiny bubbles round the edge of the glass. (inside) I called Kevin and he said that the lens is Mint and that that is normall for a lens of this age. He said that what apear to be small bubbles is actually the paint on the insde of the barrel coming up and being magnafied by the glass.?.? The lens in question is a Canon 50mm 1.4 I have taken may pictures with this lens since then and it does not affect the image. That being said I still wonder in the back of my mind if I should have returned the lens. After all I paid for a Mint Lens. But as I said Other than what I described the lens is flawless. BUt I still wonder.
