I'm thinking about buying an r, however I'd much prefer to buy an r2 but they seem to be so expensive. I really prefer the m mount and the metal body, but would really like a user version. So if anyone knows where I can find a really beat up ugly user version but fully functional I'd love to know where. Thanks

I know it's not what you're looking for, but the best R value I've seen recently is a R3A that Cameraquest has used for $435.

The least expensive R2 I've seen was for sale here for $325, but that one was withdrawn.

R3A is gone from Cameraquest. Ebay is nuts. An R2 went for $280 last week. There's one on there now going for $400 and there's still a day left on the auction. LOL.

$150 for a silver R in the classifieds. Looks nice and you're not going to get one cheaper.
