User's advise wanted

Hello fellow RF brethren

I just wanted some user's opinions on a few of the Rangefinder's that I own, and intend to use very soon.

1. Vivitar 35ES 40mm 1.7
2. Canonet QL17 GIII 40mm 1.7
3. Olympus 35rc 42mm 2.8
4. Ricoh 500G (in Sears clothing) 40mm 2.8
5. Vivitar 35EE 40mm 2.8
6. Ricoh FF-1 (zone focus)

(I've attached a photo of my Sears (Ricoh 500G) I love how easily one can over-ride it, and go to manual mode. I'll post some pics very soon made with the Viv ES.

i'd love some history about that statement!
have you been collecting and not shooting? (like me!)
or did you manage to buy them all at once in some sort of super garage sale?

i have had the oly 35 rc for a long time and can vouch for the sharpness of the lens and ease of use. it's small size makes it easy to carry in a large pocket or small pouch. it has to be one of my favourites.

i also recently picked up a ql17 but have not yet finished a roll thru it. i like it's size and heft.

as for the vivitar 35es, i hope to pick one up someday. i have read some good things about it. there was a vivitar 35ee on ebay recently but the starting bid was too high for what it is. i have a konica c35 and they look pretty similar.

i also like the strap! is that a carabiner you have it attached with/to?

Yes. it's a small nini biner. Not one of my real one's, used for big wall climbing. If you like that strap, your'e gonna love my new one. Will post a pic of it soon. it's a way-cool strap.

Have been using the Viv ES lately. Great little sharp 1.7 lens. I highly recommend it. My Viv EE is not bad either. Much prefer the Viv ES though.

After watching e-Bay for over a year, I picked up a Vivitar 35CA a few weeks ago. They are very scarce. However, they are not valuable. The Vivitar 35 series was made by Cosina (it's stamped on the bottom) and they were superficial Konica C35 lookalikes. In comparison to the Konicas theyare very cheaply made. I think that theyare so scarce because most of them have crumbled by now.

I am glad to have mine, but I rely on other cameras for picture taking.
