Just a thought . I was always warned never to use a dry camera as it causes more wear and tear on the mechanics .
Most Contax / USSR , Leica cameras of a certain age need TLC .
Do you use it , or have it serviced first ?
All my users have been cla or rebuilt by the vendors .
How do you feel about this - is it OK to use a camera which has been in retirement for decades ?

I would suggest having the camera serviced since the bearings etc will be without lube or it is gummy but I doubt using it for a short time will hurt it.

Many camera are used dry for years without problems though..
