Using a filter with a hood on a 35/2 V4

My 35/2 has a notch/ridge for hood attachment. I would like to be able to use a UV outdoors and a Skylight indoors. It seems that I might be able to screw on the filter with the hood in place. Is this possible?

Why not just remove the hood first? That's what I always do. Leaving the hood on makes it much more difficult.

I don’t think it’s possible and Leica does not recommend using Skylight filters (since it changes the color tranmission.)

Thanks for the responses.

I know that the skylight filter will shift color. Here in New York I need to warm up some of the gritty filth. Often everything is kinda grey. Just trying to tone it down.

I didn't consider that the hood would mount over a filter. Pretty simple.

Take off hood. Screw in 39mm thread filter. Put on hood. I use B+W or Leitz filters
