This is another home brew, Parodinal, but with an interesting twist on the fixer: fertilizer!

Personally, much as I like the idea of using all grocery store ingredients, there's really no reason to avoid sodium thiosulfate. As chemicals go, it's about as benign as it gets, and it does the job reliably.
