Canon LTM UV filter for Canon 50mm f1.8

Canon M39 M39 screw mount bodies/lenses
Hi Steve, I bought a couple of 40mm filters a few years back I think from real camera. They were 40mm but the threads were that dodgy that they would only go on a turn or two. I have an old 40mm Hoya on my f1.8; Keep you eyes open, they're around. Andrew.

Yes, the thread pitch can be different, so be careful. Check out this thread (of course, no pun intended :angel🙂.

Aside from using 1960s vintage filters, I recommend a 40 to 40.5mm step-up ring. The availability of 40.5mm filters is pretty good, at least in USA.

Hi everyone, the filter arrived today and fits perfectly. Shame it's a black, looks a bit strange on the nice silver barrel🙁 but it will protect that front element...

BTW any recommendations for a cheap (maybe Russian) 28 or 35mm wide angle lens? I know it's probably the worse place to ask this but I haven't time to post elsewhere at present. I'm busy but in a good way, I am doing things for my pleasure🙂

Steve
