UV or Skylight for Patagonia

On the 15th of this month I am leaving for Patagonia and Ushuaia.🙂
I have been told that there is a big hole in the Ozone layer in these regions.🙁
Does anybody here have experience with wich filters to use with chrome film when shooting there. We wil not be walking on high altitudes.

If I recall correctly, skylight is for color, including chrome. I think it adds a slight pinkish hue.

Somebody correct me if I am wrong.
 
A friend of mine who's a hiker, not a photographer, goes to that part of the world often. He takes a Pentax Spotmatic with no filter and brings back stunning photos.

I use a B+W KR-1.5 Skylight, but that's really just to protect the lens, and that's exactly how Robert White sold it to me.
