I'm finally getting around to scanning some old family 110 transparencies. This is a Kodachrome shot with a Minolta 110 slr. All in all I don't think the Epson V500 did too badly considering the transparency is about one fourth the area of 35mm. Also it will only be printed to 4X6.

That, and it's Kodachrome! I bought my house-mates a Minolta 110 for Christmas when it first came out (late 70's?) It was groundbreaking at the time.

The Minolta 110...I remember the ads for them: "The Toy Grows Up." Between them and Pentax (and. yes, Rochester's own Model 60), the 110 format was pushed about as far as it would go, quality-wise. But I stuck with 35mm anyway. 😉

GREAT scan here, though!

I carried a Pentax Auto 110 all through my time in the service. I am slowly scanning loads of old 110 negs on my Epson 4490. Still trying to figure out a good way to get the film flat without incurring newton rings.

It was basically like the argument for pocket-sized digicams today - it may not have produced negs as nice as my SLR, but I had it with me always - the SLR not so much.
