Warning: this post is all about hot looks and not a bit about photography.

I already have pretty much all the M/LTM lenses that I need, now looking for a sexy “looker” lens to mount on a chrome M7, just for fun. The requirements are simple – it must be simply stunning when mounted on the M7 and must have pretty decent glass.

So far, I have these candidates in chrome:

1. 50mm Summilux (asph or not)
2. 35/1.2 CV (not as pretty but impressive-looking)

Are there any other head-turners out there that you might recommend?

The Canon 50/1.2. It comes in panda and therefore fits a chrome Leica.

I've shown this before:

If you get a hood for it, too, it's real difficult to ignore :)

Roland.

Companion to the Canon 50/1.2: Mint Dual Range Summicron. Best of both worlds: Fast or Resolution.

Taylor, Taylor & Hobson 2"/2 in LTM (remounted from Foton mount), c. 1948. The mount is a lightweight & soft alloy (made in Italy!), but still works after decades. Definitely a unique looker (& the glass is superb). Ebay example here.

Thanks everyone for your advice, much appreciated. Roland, your M3 with the 50/1.2 Canon is gorgeous, I've admired it before!

Erik - do you know the price of your CV 35/1.2 yet? (I assume it's in chrome?) Btw, I'd love to get the Canon 0.95 but those disappear faster than I can whip out my credit card! :)

Wayne - I am tracking a couple of minty DR Summicrons; they seem to pricey for their age / condition though..

rogue_designer - the Canon 85/2 is nice but too thin for what I envisioned; plus I want to stay within 21-50mm focal length.

furcafe - the Taylor, Taylor & Hobson 2"/2 sure looks exotic!

I've just realized that Zeiss ZM lenses also come in silver, now eyeing these 3 as well:

I have to say the 21mm Zeiss is a looker... and I like that focal length... I can't find any pics of these 3 Zeiss lenses mounted on a chrome M7 though :(

That would look pretty sweet!
[SIZE=-1]Be still my heart , you may be on to something here! Any pics with it mounted on an M7...? it's a 90 though... I was hoping to keep it under 50..

Regarding Akptc's first post, I concur with the Zeiss lenses. My silver 35 Biogon ZM arrived on the weekend. It looks great on my black M7. I love silver lens on black body.

These 3 would look awesome on a chrome body:

1. LHSA chrome 50mm summilux ASPH (one may be available...check out the Leica camera forum)
2. 50 year anniversary 50mm chrome summicron (looks similar to the above lens
3. Voigtlander chrome 35mm Nokton

Happy hunting!:D

I think the nokton is kind of an ugly lens but I've neer seen the chrome one in person or a good picture of it mounted.
