Hi, few weeks ago got a ZM sonnar 50mm, great optics.
Very happy with it, but not completely.
After a while i decided i wouldn´t learn how compensate back focus on samller apertures.
So decided to make a system to optimize the lens from 1.5 to 2.8 in a simple fast manner.
So today i did it, took away one shimm from the rear element housing and left only two! That sets automatically to 2.8 opt.
Then to go back to 1.5, I unscrew only 90º (CCW) the rear element
That way i get perfect focus in either configuration, very simple, fast and reliable. Only a small move with the fingernail. fast as changing one lens to another!
Bye!
