VC 40/1.4 nokton filtersize and choice between nokton and planar

I'm thinking of a 40/1.4 nokton for my m8.

I have a 46mm uv/ir filter for my 28 biogon. Since it costs 100 euro it would be nice if it fits the 40 nokton to. But I can not find the filter threat size of the 40/1.4 nokton or the 35/1.4 nokton.

Does anybody know this?

Do you need to engrave the 6 bit code or does the nokton work fine without on the m8? I don't really care about no info in the exif.


And, the 40 nokton is 450 euro, but I can also get a new chrome (I have a black m8) zeiss 50/2 planar for only 550 euro. The third choice would be a black 50/2 planar for 700 euro. All new.
What would u choose? I use it mainly indoor as a fast standard lens.

The Nokton is the better lens for the price. Faster, smaller, just as sharp. Same or better bokeh than the Summicron 35/2 v4. But - it has neither red nor blue dot (the true ones, that is ).
