Hi everyone....
Just wondering if anyone else has come across the problem Im having with my new Voigtlander VC II meter.

I got it to use on a variety of cameras, but most importantly my beloved contax IIa. The meter works great if anyone is looking into buying one, but unfortunately it will not fit the shoe of the contax, the blades on the meters shoe seem to be a tiny bit too wide and thick for it to go on.

Any advice from other people with this issue would be good, Im looking at machining down the blades a little then it will fit the contax well, but be a wobbly fit on my other cameras, I have considered buying a new shoe as it is removable( then I can leave one as is and if required machine one for the contax) but the Voigtlander dealers Iv spoken to cant seem to get me a replacement shoe.

So any advice or solutions from other people with the same issue would be grand.

Sorry it took so long to respond...I sort of forgot for a while but I did check and my VCII meter fits my IIa easily. I know my accessory shoe is original so I think there is another problem with yours.

FWIW, it may be easier to replace the shoe on the Contax. I think the Kiev shoe may fit. I may have one if you want to try it.
I should wait til I get home and be sure.

Is the Kiev shoe attached by screws or rivets? Personally, I would get some sandpaper and take a bit off at a time until it fit.

My bad... as the kids say. I must have been thinking of a FED or Zorki and the 3-screw attachment. I don't see any easy way - short of total teardown - to pull a shoe from the Kiev... and I suppose, from the Contax. Sorry.
