I'd prefer a wider lens than the 35mm jupiter, and VC make both a 21mm and 24mm in NikonS/Contax mount. Has anyone tried this on a Kiev?

Cheers

They fit fine. I don't shoot my Kiev much, but it takes the lenses. The VC is actually a 25mm/4 and comes with a very nice finder.

Great, that means I don't need to look into buying a nikon/contax body then.

CV do native kiev/Contax/Nikon rgfdr 21, 24, 28 and 35mm lenses, they are registered for the Nikon rgfdr (51.5mm) and coupled but will work on the Contax/Kiev register (53mm) ok, as the deviation is not significant for a 35mm or shorter & slow lens.

As well CV do NIKON F SLR 12 and 15mm lenses, with an option of Leica or Nikon/Contax rgfdr registered adopters, no coupling, - which will scale focus normally.

Russ the Canuck Kiev survival site maintenance man may have all of these.

They are all remindered, no longer in production, when they are gone they are gone...

P.S. sorry Vince I ment to type 35mm

The difference between Contax and Kiev focus is meaningless for 21mm and 25mm lenses. I've used a 21mm Zeiss Biogon on my Nikons for 15 years now. Depth of field is enornmous even at close focus of .9 meter.
