Nice shots, Alan. The bokeh in "Ramen" reminds me very much of the results I get with my old collapsible Summicron M (50/2). Very, very similar OOF effects. Nice lens, nice results...

Very smooth bokeh, looks similar to a Summilux or pre-asph. Summicron. How is the build quality?

Maybe I'm weird but I dislike the OOF in Rahmen shot. Not saying it's a bad shot Allan, I just don't like the OOF. Better run away now before those Leica owners start swinging their M bodies to smack me in the head.

Todd, the build quality is superb. The lens has some heft to it and is certainly maintains a dense feel to it. The only complaint I have is the stiffness of the focus ring, which I hope will eventually loosen up with use.

Kris, I agree, the OOF in "Ramen" is pretty harsh. Then again, I'm not too surprised since it's a dark street with bits of light here and there.

Great self portrait in there. I think the OOF is nicer in that one as well.

William, I think we all have the obligatory mirror shots in our collections.
It started as a way for me to remember which camera/lens combo I had for the roll. It's now an obsession.

I'd say the in-focus parts are really sharp. How does this lens compare with the 50mm 1.5 Nokton? I have one but haven't had a chance to use it.

Alan, one more thing: the heavy vignetting on a couple shots, they are caused by the lens not lighting condition or PS, right? Looks rather heavy but perhaps it's the trade off of being fast and compact in size.
Nevertheless, I'm sure you're having fun now using it.

Kris, I adjusted the levels in Photoshop, but didn't deliberately burn in the edges. I kinda like the vignetting.
