VC R2C - with 50/1.5 Sonnar - focusing..

has anyone use the R2C with the 50/1.5 Sonnar? what was your experience focusing this combo when shooting wide open ? does the short rangefinder base of the R2C prove to be limiting? thanks in advance for your feedback...

i currently use a Contax IIa but due to the smaller viewfinder and it's dimness and limited speeds (my 1/500 and 1/1250 are off) was considering the R2C as an alternative body..... thoughts?

I have had no problem focusing the 50/1.5 with the R2C, although I don't use this lens wide open for anything closer than 5 or 6 meters. I could see where it might get difficult to focus at the near limit of the lens, due to really narrow DOF.
