I am finding that the Epson RD-1/s and VC lenes tend towards very vivid and saturated Fujifilm Velvia-style colors. When using a Zeiss 18mm lens with the RD-1/s cameras, the colors are more natural and unsaturated. Anyone else??

Here is the OP's OP:

good trick, didn't think of that...

as to the question, i find the colours coming from the rd1 unique, i think it's more the camera than the lenses.
in fact, that damn camera has turned me into a colour shooter from a die hard b&w shooter.

I am not in total disagreement with Double Negative's opinion ;)

This was taken with a Zeiss lens and

this was taken with a CV lens.

Although both were post processed I believe they give a reasonable idea of the difference between most of the m-lenses from Zeiss and CV.

But since my collection of Zeiss lenses is 0 and CF 3 my opinion is based on a limited study and hearsay, so I am looking much forward to hearing input from other photogs as well with a wide collection of Zeiss and CV lenses.

Edited to add: I have a Leica lens (CL version) as well, and it has a totally different colour than the Zeiss and the CV. Although I can only concur with back alley's regard of the camera I do believe the lens matters quite a lot.
