VC50/2.5 on Fed/Zorki

I have bought a VC 50/2.5 color skopar lens to fit on my Fed2/Zorki 1(D) from Cameraquest. Stephen Gandy "thinks" it will work but seemed to have (unspoken)reservations. Has anybody tried this combination?

I want to use it mostly with the Zorki.

Hallo Stephen. My CV 50 is fine on my Fed 2s and 5s although the lens does have a cut away section of the type described by Jay in post 16 of this thread -

- which might explain Mr Gandy's reticence. I would thus suggest that you were careful when attaching the lens. Additionally, if your cameras have been set to particular Soviet lenses, you will quite probably have to adjust the rangefinder: Infinity may seem OK, but be sure to check close focus.

For all that, I've had no problems.
