I thought I read somewhere that there are different versions of the m7 .72, namely, that one has just the shutter speed displayed at the bottom of the viewfinder in red digits, and that another version has some different kind of displays in the viewfinder.

Can anyone sort this out for me? Which is newer? 😎

I don't think the displays have changed in the M7 VF. The latest MP has a battery icon in there instead of just a battery warning dot.

Older M7 VF's are not sealed as well for dust as the newer ones.

Oh and what is MP finder? Basically I prefer just to see the shutter speed when I use automatic and no other lights in the viewfinder.
The MP finder doesn't show the shutter speed. It simply shows that you're over or underexposed, like the M6TTL. It's all the information you need really if you expose for a pre-set aperture.
