very bad transaction from our classifieds

I apologize if this is not the right place to put this message, but I am very irritated about being ripped off by one of our own RFF members.

I bought a Rollei SL66 from "mrlowlight" 3 weeks ago. The camera that arrived was broken. He said to send it back, and he would send me a check. I sent the package back, and he has not picked it up from the Post Office: it has been sitting there for almost 2 weeks. He is not responding to email or telephone.

I hope the Post Office will send the package back to me, and then I can figure out how much it will cost to repair. Who is the best person to repair a Rollei SL66??

Did you pay with PayPal? Have you filed a dispute? Seems a little premature to make this issue public. Hope things resolve.

Take your receipt down to the post office you mailed it from and make sure that you will get the package back if it is not delivered. Not sure if they can do this but ask for a supervisor or the post master for help. Remember, be respectful and clear.

Keep in mind that many things are going sideways on people all over. Health, money, homes, jobs, family, everything is up in the air with lots of people.

Hang in there and keep reaching out.

David I've bought from Bill and he's an honest guy. Something went wrong with my first transaction with him too but it didn't stop me from buying from him again. Just give him a bit of time and I'm sure everything will work out to your satisfaction.
