Very Disappointed with Leica QC

That sounds good. If you paid for shipping out of your own pocket, don't forget to send them a copy of your FedEx receipt so that they can reimburse you (they will).

Following on re: my 'lux 35, I contacted Solms Customer Service. Explained
my issue. The CS gentleman who handled my query was courteous, friendly,
and helpful.

I was told to fedex my lens to Solms and that they would sort out the problem.

While we complain when things go wrong, we should also be thank those
that are prepared to sort out your problem in a very courteous and friendly and
professional manner.

Thank you Leica CS, Solms for your help.

Thank you all

Thank you all

I am grateful for all your advice and ' being there for me '.

May you all enjoy ( whatever it is you all enjoy ) in health and happiness
with your loved ones.

Doesn't mean I won't complain again if things go wrong with my Leica.:D

Dear Faris
Very glad to hear this got sorted out. However, you did post the "Very disappointed" post which has generated a lot of interest before you actually contacted either your dealer or leica themselves. Im not really sure why you did things in this order. Incidentally I would generally take out any new item and inspect it before even leaving the shop.

Richard Hi,

I bought the lens sight unseen from a very reputable and helpful dealer in
the states, sight unseen. I trust my dealer, notwithstanding this issue with
my lens. I did communicate with him and he offered me the best solution
under these circumstances.

My OP was a comment on the QC out of the gate from Leica facilities.

The last post, excluding this one, was to thank Leica Customer Service in Solms
for their courteous and helpful responses to solve the issue. I have to give
credit where credit is deserved. Just as I complain where I think it is warranted.

Thanks for your post and maybe I could have handled it like you suggested.

Best.

Dear Faris

Just glad you are sorted.
