To take delivery of a x-pro1, plus 18, 35, and 60mm lenses today
Just complted the firmware upgrades and looking forward to getting out and about tomorrow with it, oh yes!
I've been looking for lens adapters today, ordered the M mount one, but haven't found an m42 yet, do people use an m42 adapter on the Pentax K-mount adapter or do I need to look harder?
Cheers

Enjoy it! I'm the new owner of an X-E1 and it has been a blast to use. I'm itching to get out and shoot each day.

Very happy for you Matt! The X-pro1 and X-e1 are fantastic cameras, though I will likely end up with an X100s. Could use a digital to complement my M4 and that 35mm focal length is like an old comfy pair of shoes for me

Matt, I've recently got an X-Pro 1 also. I'm using the Fuji adapter ring and mounting my Zeiss and Leica lenses onto the camera. The Fuji adapter is dearer than other 3rd party rings but is very well engineered and talks to the camera. Manual focus is much easier than I thought it would be with the Leica and Zeiss lenses. Plus, we get focus peaking with another firmware upgrade later this month. I'm looking for a 24mm Elmar lens which will give me 36mm on the Fuji and a nice wide 24 for my M6.

So, had a play for a few days and got used to the camera.
A few snaps below taken with the 60mm Macro lens.
Ants farming aphids for their honeydew
and a crop
Jpegs are straigh out of camera, cropped in Capture One, nothing else was done to them. ISO was 800, very pleased with the look over all. Slight softness in the crop, which may be due, I think, to hand shake (shutter was 1/340, but the position was awkard and I don't have the steadiest hands, I will have another go with a tripod over the weekend).
Next is this
Again, ISO 800, 1/8 shutter, manual focus and Velvia syle. Resized only in Capture One.
Loving this camera, qulaity is amazing and it is so nice to have the manual controls iin such comfortable to use places. Still getting used to the autofocus when using the OVF, the macro can be a bit hit and miss, while the other lenses have been awesome. Haven't played with raw yet, but the jpegs are so good I'm not sure I will need to that often.
Cheers

I decided to drop the original m adapter since it couldn't take my 35mm lens, with most longer legacy lenses it should be fine...the xe-1 is a great camera for street shooting, quiet and discreet

I have an M to XF and to use my 42mm lenses I have a 42MM to M adapter that goes together with the M to XF. Kinda wobbly but it works. I've not found anything that does any better than the XF lenses however, although I've not used Zeiss or Leica Glass. S

So I've been playing with the Fuji M adapter with LTM adapter, no movement at all on the lens despite the adapter stacking. As others have stated it does tend to focus past infinity on some lenses.
Some samples below, all taken on FSU Jupiter 3 lens from the 50s. In camera B&W picture style. Resized in Capture One from jpeg.
Around F8, can't really tell from the resize, but this was very sharp
F1.5, not sure if the lens is soft at 1.5 or the focus was slightly out, but I like the look.
Velvia Picture Style
Loving the manual focus on this thing, works surprisingly well indoors and out. I have a contax RF adapter on order so looking forward to trying out the 85 F2 as well as my other FSU lenses I've picked up other the years.
This camera just gets better and better.
Cheers
