Video - Kodachrome processing lab ...

This video is more artsy and nostalgic than technical or educational, but it shows the workings of a very large Kodachrome processing lab in Switzerland.

The machines they show are obviously doing cine film and not the 35mm we intimately know, but it's still interesting to watch.

Oh, there's no narration or verbal content on the sound track at all, just background music.

The plant is now closed, I believe. There was a documentary programme on BBC Radio Four about a cine club shooting their last roll of Kodachrome and sending it off to Switzerland. It was aired last year or the year before. An end of an era.

I just sent a roll of kodachrome 64 off in the mail yesterday. destined for Dwayne's in Kansas, of course...
