I know most of you couldn't make it to my multimedia public art installation in Switzerland earlier this year so I created a short video which gives an idea of what it was like. Check it out!

Nice work Damaso. You must have mended nicely after your gift of lift to your friend. So happy for you. Do you see Europe as becoming as multicultural as the US in your travels?

Very nice. How long is the slide show loop? Any issues with glare?

The slide show was 30 minutes and the audio loop was an hour. They would play at the same time but were not synced. During the day glare was a real issue. It turns out that since the audio was playing it would often bring people in closer. Then they could better see the images.

It has taken a while but I have mended well and I'm even back to running, though not as far or as quickly as pre-surgery. But I'll get there.

I see Europe becoming more diverse for sure. More multicultural? Well... yes to that as well though there are many who don't like the idea. There is a lot more focus on the idea of assimilation here than the blending of cultures. But the blending is happening though not without some major friction involved. Not unlike America...

Thanks for sharing this Damaso. It must have been uninteresting experience. Nice to know you recovered well.

PS: as far as for a multicultural Europe being myself son of a german father and an italian mother I always say that I took the best from both cultures, even if my friends say I took the worst from both :D

That sounds familiar, especially if you listen to the audio of the video!:D

My recovery has gone very well, thanks! It was very interesting to see the unexpected ways that people interacted with the work. It's a lot different than a traditional gallery setting so it gave me a lot of food for thought!
