What was the reason and history for your interesting exhobit, Damaso? How did you choose the country and city ... Etc. ?

I applied to do a six month artist residency in this town and was accepted. As part of the residency they give each artist the chance to do a public, outdoor exhibition of their work so I decided to do something with the images from my Europeans project as well as audio I collected while working on it.

As is often the case with residencies I probably would never have gone to this small Swiss town otherwise, although I have been to Switzerland before. Overall it was a great experience, especially getting to do the installation featured in the video.

I highly recommend applying for artist residencies for those looking to spend more time working on their photography. I maintain a blog with announcements here.
