Videos Cams : want One Your suggestions please

If you're diving into making short commercial-style clips, those bridge cameras like the FZ1000 are a great middle ground. I played with one for a few months when I wanted more than a phone but not full-on mirrorless complexity. The zoom was super helpful, especially for getting different shots without switching lenses, and the built-in stabilization saved me a few times. I used a Rode mic with mine, and it worked alright for voiceovers and talking heads.

When it comes to bringing it all together, especially if you get footage in different formats, I've been using this WMV converter tool to keep everything consistent before editing. It handles all the weird formats without messing with video quality. Check it here: Convert WMV Files Online for Free – Movavi

Have a look at the Canon XC10 - a camcorder with manual zoom lenses and an articulated screen (with loupe if you want), looks like a bridge camera. As I am hardly a videographer I cannot wax lyrical about how it compares etc, but for me - I hate using phones for video or stills, my still cameras tend not be set up for video and I just wanted something that shot good video and "just worked" but had some bells and whistles I could fiddle with as I found the time or had the inclination.
Old thread I know, and the decision was probably made long ago - but I just found it. I was going to suggest a XC10, too. Mine has been solid for all these years and they are dirt cheap now. I would take an XC15 over the XC10, but I feel no need to replace the one I have. That said, my Z9 pretty much blows away the XC10 output but the Canon still makes a great neighborhood journalism rig - slap on a Rode mic, grab a poncho and go.
