BTW the first picture was taken in front of the Leica Store in Vienna (they have a huge M8 ad in front of the store) All pictures were taken with my M8, Summicron 35 and the 1.102 firmware... Any comments are welcome, Guido

holy hell, they are still constructing near the Leica shop owned by Peter C? i lived in Vienna from the end of 2003-fall 2004 and the construction crane (notice the ad is attached to a fence surrounding some cement blocks) was already in that same place...

great shots... i really miss Wien - such a beautiful city...

The more B&W shots I see taken by an M8 the more impressed I am. The tonality is marvelous, for a digital camera at least. Thing I miss though with the M8 is the DOF/OOF, I'm a DOF/OOF photographer in essencis so I would appreciate this. But genral photography wise it seems like a great user.

I like the 3rd in the aquarium best...

Steenkamp, since using the M8, do you think your photography has improved, or are you more inspired to take photos a certain way?

To be honest, only the aquarium one is a keeper IMHO.

@naos: It's hard to say. I used a 5D and a M6 before. For me the M8 is somehow a mixture of these two. I wouldn't say my photography has improved since i own a M8, it just feels better ;-)
@Dave: That's ok. I also like the aquarium one the most.
