Vientiane with Leica M6

Thanks for the comments

JP - yes sometimes torn - especially when doing quick street photography. But it's not too difficult to have the 5D around your neck constantly shooting and the M6 on your shoulder. Sometimes you just feel a shot would look better in film, and if you have both cameras you shoot it in film and digital. Other days (such as when I took the woks) I would just decide to go out for a walk with the M6 and leave the heavy gear in the hotel.

Here is another one from the series

icebear I like that one too for the lighting - and it is a good example of a shot I saw and thought would work well on film B&W but had no intention of shooting it with digital.

Thanks Nick. The reason I ask is that I am considering a D300/14-24 combo, but my fear is that it will distract my primary focus, which should be on the subject matter and not which camera to use. But you seem to do extremely well juggling both systems...

It is beautiful. But I preferred Luang Prebang even more than Vientienne. I will be working on producing galleries ffrom my days there over the next weeks/months and hopefully that will make you want to go back to such a lovely place even more
