Viewfinder adapter?

So, when using a 35mm lens (like the J12) on one of FSU RF's, you normally have to get the Russian "shoe mount" viewfinder" to get the proper prospective. But has anyone tried using the Yashica TeleWide viewfinder adapter on a Russian RF? The tele side might work for the 85mm perspective too.
The Yashicas are much cheaper and if they work, I already have one (Scot's blood "thrifty, not cheap") - LOL.
 
I just use the 50mm framelines to give me an approximate view.

I also have the Russian turret finder with rotating framelines. These are very bright, have stops to adjust for nearby shots, and aren't too expensive. I don't use it very much because I hardly shoot with my FED's and Zorki, but when I shoot I use it, and I'm very happy with it.
 
The Yashica Viewfinder for the Electro-35 series is probably fine for 35mm field-of-view on the wide side, but the Tele is far short of 85mm. I believe that it is closer to 60mm.

Others to consider on the inexpensive side are the Kodak Retina 35/80 finder and finders for the Argus C44. Not to many people on EBay looking for Argus C44 finders.
 
Don't forget that if you use a screw-in adapter to make your lens longer or wider than standard, your focal point changes as well - you can't rely on your rangefinder's accuracy - it will be different by a factor that is usually printed on the lens adapter itself.

Thanks to everyone for the replies, it sounds like no one has tried it yet. I'll be the first, I guess, I'll post how it works after I find myself a J12 for my Zorki.
The Russian finders I've seen on Ebay go for $40-50usd, but I got the finder for my Yashica for $5 usd. If the Yashica works, I'll save myself buying the FSU one. :)
 
What does this Yashica Tele-Wide viewfinder look like? I have a 'finder that says telewide on it, with two bright lines inside. Doesn't say Yashica anywhere though. Got it for fifty cents at the Buena Park show. I use it with my Bessa L, and an Industar 61 lens. Seems to be pretty close to 50mm coverage with the "tele" lines.
 
Sounds like the Yashika finder to me. Since the origial lens was a 50mm, the "tele" marking should be a bit longer, some have suggested 60mm. Great deal on yours :)
