Viewfinder Focus Accuracy

Hi,

I've just purchased a Yashica GSN, seems to be working... As a newbie to rf, it is a little awkward to focus first and compose second... but the question is, the shape of focus on the viewfinder isn't noticable especially on dim light..

my question is, it is a general problem ( or not a problem at all) or not ??

Hello & welcome.

The problem you describe seems fairly typical
of older RF's. Still, better to wait for a more knowledgeable
opinon 'cause I haven't looked thru your model in 20 yrs.

It's a problem in very dim light. You have to find something contrasty to focus.
It is a bit the same with my GSN. But one can get used to it. And you have this only in VERY dim light. In that case the "brightline" frame is also hardly visible.
