Viewfinder magnifier for IIIc/f

no, its not 😉
There is a diopter that can be mounted to the vf, I wonder if there is a similar thing just with a magnifier glass too.

There is a built-in diopter on the RF viewing side on most Leica LTM cameras with rangefinder, save for the model II.

I never heard of a diopter for the viewfinder but such beast might exist, as countless accessories have been manufactured by Leitz and other firms for the screw-mount Leica.

I use a separate SBOOI finder on my Barnacks when shooting with a 50mm lens and it helps a lot.

Here is the diopter I have mentioned.
I think the lever on the rewind knob is for setting the focus range of the rangefnder, not for any diopter issue for your eyes.

take a look on this. I want this piece just with a magnifiying glass 😀
of course the sbooi is great, no matter, but I realy like the built in vf. Too bad, they didnt made it more big like on a Voigtländer Vito B for example. 🙄

Well how about that, do you know it is a Leitz product or was it made by a different company?

I normally wear glasses but I don't wear them when using the rangefinder of my Leica IIIf , as that RF lever for adjusting distance serves me well when adjusted to fit my eyesight.

Erik I think you are right.
The codename for that diopter is "OPRTO" and they come in different diopter strengths. I just found it on the bay and wonder if they are more of these clip in attachements and maybe even one with a magnifying function. 🙄

Why not add the function?

You could work a DK-7 or DK-22 onto the back, giving you the all so common 19mm eyepiece thread.

Im still waiting for a DK-7 adapter to scab onto my GA645Zi, So I can use all those nifty 19mm Nikon eyepiece attachments, the DK-22 was just to difficult to file round and gain a proper fit in the original eyepiece housing. Im hoping the DK-7 will just drop in and stay put with a little epoxy.

Goodluck!
