Is there still a viewfinder magnifier available for the R-D1? Megaperls used to sell one but I can find no trace of the magnifier on their web site any longer. Thanks.

If you live in the US or Germany you can't buy it for the R-D 1 because Leica managed to get a patent on the idea (despite prior existence of many similar devices.) However, their patent only covers its use on an RF camera... so if you own a Nikon D70 (which accepts the same eyepiece accessories via an adapter) you can order one for use on it. Just don't accidentally get mixed up and screw it onto your R-D 1 by mistake, even though it will fit perfectly, because that would violate Leica's patent.

Also can get the HKS 1.25x mag on Ebay. Nice little pouch that goes on the camera strap for storage. Well worth it. No restriction. I have both and would recommend the HKS.
