Viewfinder Repair M3

Looking for a source for viewfinder repair on M3, resilvering. Viewfinder not blacked out but hard to focus.

There are some very good camera-repair shops in the USA, but this kind of thing is best done by Leica, imo.

CRR Luton at http://www.angelfire.com/biz/Leica/ does resilvering (and it was the only one I could find).
It cost me about $300 but I am happy with the result.
Leica wouldn't resilver the prism but replace the whole finder or so I heard.

The Leica Ms don't use a semi-silvered beamsplitter like many other rangefinders, including the screwmounts. According to DAG, over 90% of the time a dim rangefinder in an M camera is just dirt/haze in the optics that can be cleaned off. I'd send it to him, he won't do anything that isn't necessary. And if the prism does need recementing, he'll do it, not try and sell you a $600 rangefinder replacement that'll turn your M3 into an M4-2.
