If the Leica M2 and M1 prism of viewfinders are indentical? :bang:
That is, if I used the M1's prism with M2, will it work correctly?

iirc, the magnification of the m1 is the same x0.72 as the m2, but it only has 2 framelines, 35-50, where the m2 has 3, 35-50-90.

Hi,
The prism is almost the same. In fact the prism in your diagram is the same as an M1 prism which has no grooves across the top and bottom faces. To all intents and purposes they are interchangeable.
