I've just come into the possession of a hood for a 50mm Elmar-M. It screws into the 39mm threads of my 50 'cron and will supplant the very collapsable hood for that lens. My question is; will the Elmar hood vignette? It is narrower at the distal end by exactly 3mm. I don't plan to use filters. Does anyone have this combo? I realize a test is in order. However I'm leaving for Europe in three days (obviously planning to use the lens) and don't have much time to run a test.
