Vintage Leica Lenses with M9/M8, lets see your pics!

I would be interested in seeing pics from Lenses made by Leica in the 1930's, 1940's, etc,, just for the hell of it. Some have a funky look like the Summar and Summitar, so much so that some call these in Bokeh terms, Noctilux like. I am fascinated and not surprised as to how sharp some of these optics really are under the right conditions. So anyone with these "jewels" of Leica's past who owns an M8 or M9, post your pics! I do not own any lenses of this vintage, but I may given my fascination and curiosity!

The "patina" or glow of the old glass is fantastic on digital M. Meanwhile on film seems tricky problem of old lens. Well done!

If you want to show in in the thread, you can take the "url" of the image and encase it in [img ] and [/ img]. (leave out the spaces, I left them in to show the command.)

I've been comparing a number of lenses on the M8, and have more to go.

This is a Collapsible SUmmicron, wide open at F2:

A Type 1 Rigid:

100% crop:

And a Type 2 Rigid Summicron.

100% crop:

All are near-mint glass, and wide-open at F2.

And I use a lot of non-Leica glass, and am a Jupiter-3 Fanatic...

1953 KMZ J-3, wide-open at F1.5.

The M8 brings out the best in these old lenses. You will find that some of the lenses were in need of being shimmed. Not because the M8 is a different register, but because it allows more detailed inspection of the final image.
