I've just taken possession of one these lovely cameras and would like to use the meter in it.
I bought a Wein Cell MRB 625 thinking that was the correct battery but it doesn't fit. Anyone know what the right one is?
Thanks
Andrew

Hi Andrew,
It should be the correct battery replacement. Have a look here: http://rangefinderforum.com/forums/showthread.php?t=113150&page=3

Hi Jan,
You're right, it is the correct battery. I just hadn't worked out how to put it in properly! However, now that it's in, the meter still doesn't work. I've tried pressing the tiny button on the side. I think that the needle is missing from the camera, the one that's supposed to match up with the needle that has the circle . Oh, well. Not a major problem. I just have to carry a light meter with me.

Hi Andrew,
Not all may be lost. In old cameras the battery contacts may look clean, but are not really. There often is some grime on them, which you can remove with the eraser tip of a pencil (or use a q-tip and vinegar). The meter might spring alive.
Cheers,
Jan
