i bought my Minox GT some twenty years ago. love it very much.
so i always fond of cameras which copy the Minox lens style--strange affection?
Vivitar 35EM is my latest found,
i like the styling and the way the lens popping out (via a lever at the bottom)
it worked well at first but the winder stuck at around 30 frames
i thought i did not load the film properly so the counter was not correct and the film had reached the end.
i pressed the rewind button and took the film out.
however the winder couldn't move anymore (and the rewind button seems to be at a "pressed down" position.
i really want to use it more
i hope it is just my wrong-doing and there's some tricky bits i didn't know

On many 35mm cameras the rewind button won't release until you operate the wind lever.
If shutter is cocked the cameras double exposure prevention may be preventing wind.
Since rewinding the first roll have you tried firing the shutter either with or without film?
