Hi all

FINALLY I got hold of a Vivitar 35es that seemed to be in great nick, nice clean finder, aligned properly, timings spot on, light meter accurate, great body and lens. So I gave it a re-seal according to good old Don Goodman's kit and instructions and loaded it up with some Acros. After a couple of shots I noticed that the film wind didn't quite seem as smooth as my other cameras' but didn't think much of it, then after a few more shots it seemed to get worse, then at frame 10 it stopped pulling the film along altogether, you can hear the teeth on the spool catching against the sprocket holes but not pulling the film along.

I'm sure of heard of this issue before with the Vivitar but can't remember where I read it. So my question is, has anyone else had any issues like this with the Vivitar, is there a way too fix it? Or, is it just an incorrectly loaded film, although I've never loaded one wrong yet?!

Thanks

You might try reloading it. I had one that sounded rough at times and it was, in fact, the way I'd loaded the film. I hope you get it sorted out because it's an awesome camera.
