Well-known
The Vivitar ES, Minolta Hi-Matic 7sII and Revue 400 SE. All those cameras are very similar. The were all built by Cosina. The 1:1,7 - 40 mm lens was built by Minolta in cooperation with Leitz (Leica) The lens was called "Elcan 40" (for Ernst Leitz, Canada). Minolta and Leitz had some coorperation as you will know. The lens of the 35 ES and 7 S II is said to be similar to the summicron 1:2,00 - 40mm in the Leica CL = Leica - Minolta CL (and Minolta CLE) I mean the old and heavy Konica Auto S 2 with 1: 1,8, 45 mm lens.

So the 7sII was a Cosina. That's an interesting tid bit. The only Rokkor that I've ever owned and still own is fitted to my Autocord. You'll get no complaints from me.

Is the Vivitar 35ES a hybrid of the Minolta lens and Konica S3 body? It seems to have similar technical specification to the Konica (shutter priority only etc) and the Minolta/Leitz lens.
